Klub Kokos Bungalows

Are you ready to try something a little different for your holiday in Bali?  Klub Kokos offers you & your family an ideal location to explore the "off the beaten track" rural Bali while still being in close touch with the more cosmopolitan Ubud.  Located only 2-1/2 km from the centre of Ubud, Klub Kokos is situated near the old-world village of Bangkiang Sidem.  Because of the round-about car route from Ubud to this area, it still remains a world apart from the busy down-town area.  With virtually no traffic along the road, Klub Kokos is an ideal spot for you & your family to be able to set off to explore the beautiful countryside that tropical Bali has to offer.

Each of the seven bungalows at Klub Kokos offer you all the comforts of home, while the small number of bungalows ensures that guests are all looked after personally by hosts Krishna Sudharsana, a renowned Balinese artist, & his Australian wife Cathy.  While five of the bungalows have one bedroom including a king-size double & king-size single bed, the other two bungalows have two bedrooms if you wish to have separate sleeping areas for you & your children.  Cots are also provided free of charge for any little ones that stay at Klub Kokos.  For the larger families, Klub Kokos provides a "family unit", which is two of their bungalows with an adjoining doorway.  The family unit, with it's two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen & dining area, can sleep up to six people easily, with room for extra beds.

As well as a restaurant with a wide range of choices of dishes catering to the most finicky of eaters, Klub Kokos has a large salt-water pool for their guests.  No red eyes from the incorrect balancing of chemicals here!

Klub Kokos provides an office with internet access for you to be able to keep in touch with your friends & relatives while you are travelling.  They also have a very well equipped library with loads of books for the young & old, as well as an assortment of games & puzzles to keep you amused while you relax.

For the young ones Klub Kokos has a play area with heaps of toys to choose from.

While Klub Kokos caters for all of those "Western" types of needs for your family while on holiday, for those of you who are interested in discovering a little bit more about some of the unique skills of the local people around this area, they are able to organise any of an assortment of workshops with members of the local community.  In this way you are able to have a close interaction with the Balinese while they can pass on some of their fine skills to you.  Perhaps you might like to make a hat like the ones you see all the rice farmers wearing, or a kite like so many of the children of this area make to amuse themselves.  Would you like to learn some of the steps that go to make up the beautiful dances that the Balinese have, or learn how to play one of the musical instruments of the gamelan orchestra.  Or perhaps you would like to learn how to make some of the intricate offerings that are made every day here.

As well as being on site to help guests with the many questions that they always have as they discover more about the intricate lifestyle of the Balinese, Cathy has been gradually adding information to their web site about many different aspects of the life around her.  She always welcomes email enquiries from people that are planning a holiday at Klub Kokos, & is ready to organise any tours & activities to make your holiday one to truly remember.
